Create your free accountThe TOEFL iBT changed on January 21, 2026, so your practice has to match the current test, not the old one. According to ETS, the test has four sections. Reading and Listening are now multistage adaptive, which means your performance on the first module sets the difficulty, and the score ceiling, of the second.
The task types are new too. Reading now includes Complete the Words and Read in Daily Life alongside the traditional Academic Passage. Speaking adds Listen and Repeat and a simulated interview. Writing adds Build a Sentence, a short email, and an academic discussion post. Scores are reported on a new 1 to 6 band scale in half point increments, aligned to the CEFR, with a comparable 0 to 120 score during a two year transition. Writing and Speaking are scored by a combination of AI and ETS-certified raters, which is why practicing with fast, accurate AI feedback matters so much.
One rule worth burning into memory: ETS states that if you do not complete at least one question in every section, your test will not be scored at all. Reaching every section, and every question you can, is not optional. Our full mock trains exactly that.
